Job Description:
Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.
Education Qualifications:
NP: Master's degree in nursing
PA: Bachelor's degree in a health/science-related field
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
We are seeking an NP/PA to join the Sleep Medicine team at our South University Campus in Fargo, ND. The provider will partner with two (2) part-time physicians (a Neurologist & a Pulmonologist, both trained in Sleep Medicine) and 2 APC's in offering exceptional care to our growing number of patients. 1.0 FTE, full-time status
Mon-Fri from 8a-5p
Based at South University Campus in Fargo, ND
100% clinical setting; no call coverage
8-10 patient encounters per day
Sleep studies performed including but not limited to Sleep Apnea, Insomnia and Restless Legs Syndrome
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.EDUCATION/TRAINING:
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate states (if NP).
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate states.
Current certification in CPR
National certification, in applicable area.
Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
