This opening is in our Mixing Department and is scheduled Monday-Thursday 4:00am-2:00pm. The hourly rate of pay is $19.10 . This position is located at our Plant on Route 30 in Gettysburg.
The Forklift Operator operates various industrial powered equipment to move work in process during the manufacturing of mosaic tile.
Major Functions & Scope:
Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport work in progress or finished product.
Removes and empties scrap and waste containers.
Documents and tracks simple inventory of work in process.
Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education & Knowledge:
Experience:
0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.
Prior forklift operating experience required.
Core Competencies:
Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills.
Accurate measurement capability.
Ability to understand and speak basic English.
Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
Production Planner- Pattern Analyst
Major Functions and Scope:
Uses Microsoft Office programs to generate various production reports.
Maintain production databases; i.e. Process Reliability and completes order entries.
Provide customer support to both internal and external customers.
Completes mural drawings, pattern drawings and gradient pattern drawings.
Prints patterns for production orders.
Mount Samples.
Completes any necessary revisions for drawings.
Perform weekly and monthly inventories.
Assist shipping and receiving departments by reconciling materials received through the JDE, SAP, and/or ASI systems.
Keep supervisor informed of any problem areas.
Follows standard operating and safety procedures and wears required personal protective equipment.
Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photo Shop and Email
Experience:
Competencies:
Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
Ability to learn SAP system.
Effective communication skills, listening skills, attention to details, and ability to organize and retrieve information.
