Summary

The Leave of Absence (LOA) Case Manager is responsible for administration of the Company's LOA Management Process for assigned regions and/or business units.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Facilitates the LOA Management Process; including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA), and other leave types required by federal/state law and company policy.

  • Communicates with Team Members requesting LOAs regarding the eligibility requirements and documentation needed for LOA approvals.

  • Communicates with HR Managers and business partners in the field regarding Team Members' LOA status and return to work accommodations.

  • Prepares and maintains extensive detailed reports on Team Member LOA data.

  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal labor and employment laws and regulations as pertains to LOAs and workplace accommodations.

Supervisory Responsibility

Individual Contributor

Education and Experience

  • Three to five years of experience at a management or senior administrative level with emphasis on leave of absence administration and/or employee relations.

  • Extensive knowledge of applicable state and federal employment and labor laws and governmental compliance requirements, especially ADA, FMLA, and USERRA.

  • Preferred - Bachelor's degree, preferably in human resource management or related field or equivalent level of experience, training and education.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
