Summary The primary purpose of a Commissary Support Clerk is to perform a variety of store-level work associated with accounts and price maintenance. Incumbent may also be assigned supply clerical duties. in a Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) facility. Additional positions may be filled from this announcement. Responsibilities Position responsibilities include: Performs basic account maintenance procedures to ensure files, logs, and reports are complete. Ensures adequate stock and operating supplies are maintained. Operates computer systems to input or correct data, and produce documents, reports, shelf labels and signs. Verifies receipts against invoices. Physical requirements:??????? ???????Occasional walking, stooping, bending, and carrying and lifting of items without assistance (e.g. boxes of copier paper) weighing up to 25 pounds and stocking of light items. Overtime: Occasionally Fair Labor Standards Act: Non-Exempt Covered by Bargaining Unit: Yes Positions will be filled under the DoD DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) and are subject to the restrictions of the DoD referral system for displaced employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications To qualify for this position, applicants must possess one year general experience OR two years above high school OR a qualifying combination of experience and education by the closing date of this announcement. General experience is described as progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of a Commissary Support Clerk. Appropriate education may be substituted for or combined with experience. This education must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education http://www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation/Search.aspx and in an appropriate field of study as described elsewhere in this announcement more information. Transcripts must be provided if you are using education to qualify. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Education used to qualify for this position must be from an accredited school or educational institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and a copy of your transcript is required as part of your application package.
