We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary

Responsible for analyzing and making recommendations for changes to internal processes, standards and specifications directly related to Dominion Energy Virginia's (-DEV-) Integrated Distribution Planning (-IDP-) plans for comprehensively modernizing the distribution grid planning process. Assist on development of multiple concurrent IDP components to identify and document the major business processes associated with the individual components. Conduct benchmarking and best practice analysis of the business unit's processes against both industry and non-industry processes. Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the business processes within the entire business unit without jeopardizing reliability, availability, or safety. Develop business cases to support recommendations, and monitor the progress associated with the implementation of IDP components. Apply process modeling tools, process improvement methodology, benchmarking, project management, and change management to projects.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:

Minimum 3 years' experience with bachelor's degree; Minimum 5 years' experience with Associates Degree

Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to facilitate and/or work on multiple project teams simultaneously

Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making, along with knowledge of when to get others involved

Proficient in application of business process improvement methodology, benchmarking, and change management

Strong customer service orientation

GIS experience preferred

Experience with probabilistic and statistical analysis preferred

Experience with data transformation and cleaning preferred

Basic programming or scripting skills for process automation (Python, C#, Visual Basic, etc.) preferred

Ability to create data visualizations using various tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.) required.

Understanding of relational data (primary keys, foreign keys, indexes, constraints, etc.) required.

Ability to use SQL to query relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) required.

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
