Cracker Barrel is on the search for a Senior IT Manager to join the Infrastructure team at our Home Office! In this role, you will be responsible for leading a small team of administrators and engineers in IT infrastructure, telecommunications, and collaboration technologies. This role maintains and improves standard operation procedures and work management methods. This hands-on role leads by example while mentoring IT Infrastructure Services team members.
Provides subject matter expertise across technical disciplines including cloud, networking, telecommunications, and on-premises infrastructure.
Estimates total effort necessary to accomplish assigned goals, establish then assign tasks to meet or exceed target outcome(s), participate and make recommendations on overall work prioritization, and provide accurate reporting of progress, accomplishments, and challenges throughout projects and small initiatives
Maintain and improve on existing processes and procedures to minimize downtime, ensure financial discipline, and earn stakeholder confidence through effective communication and consistent quality delivery
Ensure on-time completion of telecommunications and physical equipment provisioning tasks necessary to meet branch onboarding deadlines
Responsible for maintaining an effective proactive monitoring and alerting program that reduces the risk of unplanned downtime and which supports Information Security and Cyber Risk requirements as well as incident response processes
Responsible for managing team adherence to cross team functions including IT Change Management, Incident Response,
Vulnerability Management Program, and others.
Supports Sr. Director - IT Infrastructure with vendor management activities related to day-to-day operations as well as to plan and deliver new solutions aligned to assigned strategic outcomes.
Implements, maintains, and periodically tests technology solutions that support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
Responsible for accurate configuration documentation and for maintaining records that support tech ops processes.
Manages the day-to-day efforts of and mentors IT infrastructure team members at varying levels of technical skill level and professional experience including Jr., Mid-Level, Sr. and/or Lead role levels.
Participates in budget planning, ongoing expense management, licensing strategy and related.
Maintains strong knowledge of current and emerging IT solutions and underlying technology.
Provides escalation and oversight for afterhours support including incident response
Other projects and responsibilities as necessary.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in computer science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience and knowledge.
8+ years professional IT experience.
3+ years demonstrated management and development of technical professionals
