The Wholesale Strategy & Planning Team is group of thought leaders leveraging strategic frameworks and analytical minds to unlock rapid innovation and growth for T-Mobile's wholesale business, which consists of Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO), Internet of Things (IoT), and Machine to Machine (M2M) segments. Wholesale is a quick-moving, entrepreneurial, and rapidly growing part of T-Mobile's overall business.

The Sr Business Strategy Manager will need to be a strategic thinker leveraging strong analytical skills to effectively frame complex problems and develop a strategy that is executable. This individual contributor will interact with various senior leaders across functional organizations to drive strategy adoption and influence change. Successful delivery and execution requires cross-functional alignment while promoting efficiency and transparency. The role will communicate complicated analysis, logic, and solutions in a clear and concise manner and provide decision support, strategy recommendations, and detailed analysis to help drive effective execution of initiatives. What you'll do in your role.

  • Influence/design strategic vision of the Wholesale organization. Frame complex problems in a structured way designing analytical needs to support strategic decisions.

  • Construct executive-level presentations and present complex analytical findings in clear, concise and decision-impacting manner. Possess the ability to influence leadership through fact-based analysis.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of strategic frameworks, industry trends, and corporate and customer drivers in order to improve, reengineer or maintain company performance.

  • Utilize analytical and modeling capability to perform scenario and sensitivity analysis in partnership with FP&A and pricing to enhance decision making across a range of options and present findings and recommendations for prioritization of resources to all levels of the organization

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entire wholesale portfolio in order to propose and analyze strategic decisions impacting the enterprise

  • Also responsible for other Duties/Projects as assigned by business management as needed.

The experience you'll bring.

  • 3-5 years - Experience in financial modeling, data analytics and/or strategy work

  • 3-5 years - Problem solver. Identify key issues that impact business decisions and have excellent analytical skills to drive insights

  • Disciplined project manager. You are always thinking a few steps ahead, laying out thoughtful and achievable project plans. You understand how to engage others and what information and data you need to achieve your goals

  • Management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking experience preferred

  • SQL or database management experience a plus.

  • Telecommunication experience preferred

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in Colorado is generally within the range of $75,000 to $150,000 for annual base salary. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay may be above or below this range. Employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of an employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
