Dal-Tile is looking for Production Operators to join our team. No experience is necessary as Dal-Tile will train you to succeed!

Shift:

6:45 am to 7:15 pm

Week 1: Mon,Tues,Fri,and Sat

Week 2: Sunday,Wed, and Thurs

As a Production Operator you will learn to:

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of all assigned equipment

  • Follow the Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Stockslines/machines with needed materials

  • Transport, weighs, and mixes appropriate ingredients

  • Load/ unload machines

  • Perform periodic checks on output

  • Create samples and performs quality control checks

  • Monitor equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor including safety, quality, productivity, and systems-related issues

  • Maintain accurate documentation/ records relative to safety, quality, and productivity for assigned area

  • Follow standard operating procedures, safe operating practices, 5S, standard work and other lean manufacturing principles

  • Keep area safe, clean, and organized

  • Support a life-long learning environment, enhancing own skills as well as assisting in the development of other team members

  • Need to be willing to cross department lines and help the team where needed

  • Perform other related duties as required

Education and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • previous manufacturing/ production experience preferred but not required.

Competencies:

  • Strong written, oral and communications skills

  • Ability to understand and speak basic English

  • Good math skills

  • Good record keeping skills

  • Coachable

  • Accurate measurement capability

  • Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks

  • Ability to wear PPE and maintain company safety policies

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch.

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
