What we need:
This position will work directly with our Global Ceramic Segment division in creating and leading sustainability programs and will report into the Corporate Vice President of Sustainability.
This position will champion Dal-Tile as a leader of sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will innovate, plan, and facilitate company-wide sustainability efforts in coordination of our corporate strategic goals. Over time, this role will implement our holistic sustainability framework which will embed sustainability further into Mohawk culture and every corporate functional area.
What you'll do:
Support the Dal-Tile sustainability vision and mission by integrating the sustainability framework across the Global Ceramic Business Segment.
Evaluate current sustainability priorities and build sustainability strategies and programs for operations that increase ROI and customer reputation
Facilitate the Global Ceramic Sustainability best practices sharing and integration across the business segment.
Conduct research and benchmarking for key trends and translate those findings into best company practices and goals
Engage stakeholders by initiating and forming relationships with key suppliers, thought leaders, and critical non-governmental organizations within the sustainability community.
Design training and educational materials that can be distributed internally and externally to facilitate the Global Ceramic sustainability brand
What you have:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline required, master's preferred
5 - 7 years' experience in Sustainability Management
A passion for making the planet a better place
What you're good at:
Demonstrated effective and/or persuasive verbal and written communication skills with the intent of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management, and staff
Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability principles, implementation, and strategic planning process
Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing large scale projects from conception through implementation
Demonstrated experience in effectively managing program budgets and in effectively allocating budget resources to maximize impact
