JOB DESCRIPTION - Security Manager

Location: Remote

Division: Ticketmaster

Line Manager: Vice President, TM Security

Contract Terms: 40 Hours

THE TEAM

The TM Security team partners with various parts of the business to secure system and network resources and protect the confidentiality of regulated data. To support this mission, the TM Security team develops processes, procedures, and policies required for the protection of regulated data. TM Security identifies risks to the security of information and systems. Mitigate these risks to levels acceptable to the organization. Defining security requirements, establishing baselines, and measuring risks based on applicable laws, regulations, and best practices. Consult with TM Global Tech teams and to investigate security issues and evaluate products and processes. Collaborating with teams and third-party regulators to develop the organizational security strategy, architecture, and risk relevance. Ensuring incident response and disaster recovery plans are developed and implemented. Responding to and recover from disruptive and destructive information security events. Increasing organizational awareness of security through training and communication

THE JOB

The Security Manager will help plan and carry out the organization's security strategy. This role will help develop the annual security strategy, report on status, and schedule work between all security teams. The role will also coordinate security activities across the Ticketmaster Technical organization. The Security Manager is also responsible for working with the teams to communicate security tasks and initiatives to align with their quarterly planning.

Reporting to the Ticketmaster VP, Security, the Security Manager will partner with the business technology leaders to facilitate Security Initiatives, Security Tasks, and Security Strategy.

The Security Manager will compile and implement a comprehensive global security strategy for the effective management of the TM Security program. The Security Manager will be considered a subject matter expert in security standards, security coordination, and security planning.This is a critical role for Ticketmaster and will require a strong, experienced, highly motivated, and knowledgeable individual with extensive leadership skills and experience in operating in a complex, global technology organization.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Supports the overall planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of one or more initiatives simultaneously with guidance and oversight of VP, Ticketmaster Security.

  • Provides mentorship and guidance for the timely completion and quality of deliverables and programs.

  • Understands the needs and goals of the organization and supports the development and implementation of an appropriate strategy from leadership.

  • Required to facilitate efficient communication across all levels of the program to ensure consistency in reaching the TM Security mission. Also, to help in the recognition of any potential opportunities, risks or complications.

  • Partner with key stakeholders in Information Technology to build a project plan and identify all the key milestones for project completion.

  • Develop a detailed execution plan and manage all areas of the program.

  • Apply consistency and best practices through program initiation, planning, and execution phases with a continuous improvement mindset

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)

  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving, conflict / resolution management, active listening, time management, and interpersonal skill

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science / Engineering / Technology or related

  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver solutions

  • Program Management experience preferred
