As a Project Manager, Sr on the Global Foodservice business, you will drive cross-functional planning and collaboration on complex projects in support of an international licensing relationship Nestle in the away-from-home channels.. Established in 2018, the Global Coffee Alliance has dramatically accelerated Starbucks brand and business globally, as Nestle markets, sells, and distributes Starbucks products in global at-home and away-from-home channels. We're still building and looking for a Project Manager, Sr to help us continue to shape the future of our shared business.

As a Project Manager, Sr, you will...

  • Manage complex, cross-functional & cross-partnership projects supporting the global Foodservice business. You will lead multiple efforts simultaneously, on globally distributed teams serving more than 40 countries. Not only will you work with a variety of functions-including brand, marketing, product, legal, and finance-but you will also work with stakeholders across both Starbucks and Nestle. Your project portfolio ay include innovation workstreams, the alignment of global principles, and global program launches. At the end of the day, the partner in this role will enjoy working thru projects that are often a -first- for the partnership.

  • Build the project management infrastructure that helps us get to a portfolio management view. You'll drive the development of our project management discipline, including the primary recommendation on process, tools, optimization of established governance, and establishment of alignment venues where needed.

  • Leverage governance and steering-committee venues to drive decision making, as you tenaciously drive momentum and alignment across two multi-layered organizations. Together will your cross-functional and cross-partnership teams, you'll elevate projects to senior leaders on both sides of the alliance, favoring alignment over consensus-building.

  • Drive clarity and momentum as you communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. A love of stakeholder management is a must. You will be expected to have a well-developed project management skillset, with an emphasis on strong communication skills.

  • You will inspire and influence others by building strong relationships across the Global Coffee Alliance. There will be moments where the best way to manage a project is for you to offer coaching to cross-funcationals, empowering them to manage projects for themselves.

  • Enjoy working on an energetic, fun team and have a clear ability to drive the business forward as part of a highly collaborative team, while acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles

We'd love to hear from people with:

  • 5+ years project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources and communications.

  • 5 yrs managing complex large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects

  • 5 yrs building and mentoring teams

  • 2 yrs mentoring other project managers in program and project management

  • 5 yrs General business experience in large, matrixed Organizations

Education: 4 year degree preferred, PMP considered
