Job Summary
Dominion Energy is looking for students to participate in our 2024 co-op and intern programs. Students will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in the field of Gas Utility Operations that will prepare them to compete for entry-level, professional positions in the utility industry upon graduation. The program's goal is to attract, develop, and retain high-potential college students. Upon graduation ad successful completion of our program, the student may be eligible for consideration for a full-time position in one of Dominion's core business units.
2024 Spring co-op positions are available located in Columbia.
Selected students will gain Utility knowledge in the following areas based upon student's area of interest and business need:
Prepare plans and procedures for natural gas system projects using AutoCad, GIS, and Microsoft Office computer software.
Project administration duties including managing project records, documenting design basis and communicating with other departments.
Construction support duties including drawing and procedure updates based on field changes, material management, and communicating with the construction inspection department.
Students must be available to travel and work outside of normal business hours throughout the Dominion Energy's Gas service territory.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
Must have strong computer skills and good oral and written communication skills.
Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned work location.
Education Requirements
Must be in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred) from an ABET accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Must have graduation date of December 2024 or later.
