CACI is seeking a cleared Data Architect for its program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD
The Opportunity:
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of data infrastructure development. Your data engineering tasks include designing and assessing systems that allow for the seamless flow, availability, and reliability of data amongst warfighter applications. You will work with stakeholders including Product Managers of various Army PEO systems, lead engineers, and developer teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. You will work to integrate their assigned product with multiple other Army warfighting systems to achieve end-to-end data management and interoperability.
Responsibilities:
Develop Data architecture.
Developing and maintaining data pipelines for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
Designing and optimizing data storage solutions, including data warehouses and data lakes.
Ensuring data quality and integrity through data validation, cleansing, and error handling.
Collaborating with data analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver relevant data sets (e.g., for business intelligence).
Designing and prototyping data processes and workflows for scalability and efficiency.
Designing a robust, on-premise data infrastructure for performance and reliability to address issues promptly.
Documenting data pipelines, processes, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Participating in data governance and compliance efforts to meet military and regulatory requirements.
Continuously providing optimization methodologies for data architectures to support the Army's evolving data needs.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making within the organization.
Design and prototype large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements.
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements.
Study and design an infrastructure required for optimal pulling, pushing, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, XML, and other technologies.
Collaborate with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
Provide key leaders with detailed analysis of issues with recommended solutions; provide technical reports.
Qualifications:
Required:
An active DoD Secret Clearance
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Seven years experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering
Desired:
Master's degree in computer science or engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
Azure Data Architect and/or AWS Certified Data Analytics are favorable.
Proficiency in data modeling and database management.
Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or SQL).
Knowledge of data technologies like Hadoop, ElasticSearch, Kafka, NiFi, DataHub, Neo4J, and Spark.
Experience with (Extract, Transform, Load) ETL, ELT, and Reverse-ETL processes.
Familiarity with data warehousing and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
Knowledge and experience with REST interfaces such as Node.js and Django
Prior experience supporting a Program or Product Office as an engineer or integrator with a detailed understanding of Army, Joint and Coalition Interoperability.
Experience building processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Experience with DoD practices.
Experience with Risk Management Framework is preferred.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$98,500 - 206,800 USD
