Amazon is seeking a talented, self-directed marketing leader to drive awareness and demand generation for Amazon Web Services (AWS) within the state and local government (SLG) and education (EDU) market. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in an exciting, fast growing business.
The Sr. Marketing Manager is an integral part of the Public Sector Field Marketing team. The Manager is responsible for developing and delivering aligned marketing programs and will interface directly with the SLG and EDU business and sales stakeholders.
The right candidate has successful experience in results-driven marketing, specifically field and digital marketing experience and an unbridled passion for technology, accountability, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with business and sales leaders on go-to-market strategy including market segmentation, messaging, marketing channels, and campaign execution.
Develop and execute aligned field marketing plans - including digital, content, and events - to drive demand generation and pipeline in support of SLG & EDU sales targets.
Leverage and tailor corporate-level product marketing campaigns and materials to accelerate and maximize results in SLG & EDU business.
Communicate regularly with internal business and sales leaders including regular updates with the broader SLG & EDU sales teams.
Ensure SLG & EDU target customers, customer stories, and business priorities are top of mind in all marketing activities.
Earn trust and maintain strong relationships across the organization, working in conjunction with other marketing leaders and with peers.
Monitor and report on campaign results and effectiveness, including ROI and recommended changes as needed.
Willingness and ability to work independently and autonomously.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications
6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
Excellent oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail
