Job Summary
Manages and supports all phases of projects related to the Subsequent License Renewal for nuclear plants, including site development, permitting support if needed (air, water, state, local, etc.), engineering procurement, and construction contracts, construction activities, testing and start-up, contract negotiations, and engineering contracts. Manages interface between design and construction efforts and station departments such as operations, maintenance, outage and planning, radiation protection, security, training, and others as required. Support development and management of project budget and schedule to ensure meeting project goals.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
The knowledge, skills, abilities and experiences that are required for entry into this job include the following:
-7+ years of industry experience in the field of construction, engineering, finance and/or management with a minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in project management.
-3+ years of nuclear power plant experience is required.
-Demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management, relevant technologies, and leadership in the assigned project areas.
-Strong team-building skills and demonstrated skills and abilities in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
-Effective negotiation skills.
-Strong Verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
-Ability to develop, manage, and monitor project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules
-Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes.
-Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff.
-Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred Disciplines: Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Engineering Technology,
Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above
Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description
Other: Project Management certification preferred. Millstone must meet ANSI N18.1-1971, Section 4.6.2
