Description
SAIC is seeking a Desktop Support in Huntington, WV to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Revolutionary Information Technology Services (RITS) program to provide technical support to the Army Corps of Engineers end-users for PC, server, mainframe applications and hardware and serves as an escalation point for all Tier 2 activities.
NOTE: This position can support between $50k - $58k (depending upon experience and skill level)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Work on solutions that the first and second-tier support staff is unable to resolve.
Interact with vendors, network services, software systems engineering, and/or applications development to restore service and/or identify and correct core problem.
Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems. Maintains currency and highest level of technical skill in field of expertise.
Technical, operational, and training support to users and technical teams, for PC desktop hardware, and software packages
Configure operating system, load shrink-wrap programs and other application software programs
Troubleshoot PC's, and peripheral incidents, performs hardware and software diagnostics, coordinates needed repairs, and resolves operation system and software problems
Coordinate between users and components of a local area network, and participates in the evaluation of system configuration and software.
Ensure all resolutions follow DISA STIGs and other regulations, documented, and current. The candidate serves as a POC for Level 3 support and escalations
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Associates and six (6) years of relevant experience; two (2) additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
Experience troubleshooting issues with MS Office 365 and Azure services
Experience working with vendors to remedy root causes.
Knowledge and/or experience working within USACE environment
Experience in implementing and evaluating DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) within the Windows Operating System technology area (ie. Windows 10, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft 365, etc)
Experience using ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system.
Demonstrated experience writing process documentation.
