The E&T Manager responsibility is a part-time increase in scope, for functional manager duties in addition to their regular technical duties. As such, only candidates currently supporting HSWT operations will be considered.
What You Will Be Doing
As an E&T Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.
- Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program.
- Support development of the HSWT Capital Plans, ensuring that current and future program testing needs are fulfilled.
- Develop appropriate work schedules and ensure that staff workload is as full and level as possible.
- Develop appropriate training programs for the related group's technologies.
- Maintain technical relevant contacts within industry, universities, and customer areas.
- Coordinate status meetings with customers for risk mitigation to ensure smooth test execution for every wind tunnel test.
- Assure development of process methodology and acquisition of equipment and tools to improve the effectiveness and productivity of the organization.
- Provide technical oversight to test team leads for preparation and execution of every wind tunnel test.
It is possible that travel will be required to both customer and supplier sites. It is possible that travel will be both within and outside the Continental United States (CONUS). Candidates filling this position will need a US citizen and will need a clearance at the level specified in -Clearance Level- or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.

Basic Qualifications:
- Engineering management or Engineering team lead experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and/or employee development and mentoring
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active DoD Secret security clearance or greater.
- Experience with wind tunnel testing, load application principles, general knowledge of data acquisition, equipment control and the variety of sensors and measurements typically utilized in wind tunnel testing.
- Knowledge of underlying principles, calibration, and operation of laboratory and/or experimental electronic test measurement equipment and systems to support aerodynamic, structural and mechanical testing in the defense aerospace industry.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Familiarity with LM's hazardous waste management system
- Familiarity with the ESH's safety protocols and procedures for operations in a test laboratory
- Prior experience as a Lab Resident-in-Charge supporting lab audits, management of calibration equipment, and ensuring lab personnel are compliant with required training and certifications specific to their jobs
- MS degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace or Electrical engineering

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
