The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program faculty is responsible for providing didactic and lab content, evaluating students, reporting progress, and for the periodic review and updating of course material. Faculty must be familiar with program goals, able to demonstrate the ability to follow an organized plan of instruction and have appropriate credentials for the learning areas they teach. In each location where students are assigned for didactic or supervised practice, there must be instructional faculty designated to provide frequent assessments of the students' progress in achieving program requirements. Performs duties assigned under the direction and delegation of the Paramedic Program Director.
Responsibilities
This would be an ideal position for an EMS professional. Our terms are five weeks long, and class sizes are small which give our faculty the perfect environment in which to share their specific industry experience. T he EMS faculty is responsible for providing didactic and lab content, evaluating students, reporting progress, and for the periodic review and updating of course material. Qualifications
Minimum of an associate degree
Lead Instructors should have a bachelor's degree.
The Lead Instructor role may also include providing leadership for course coordination and supervision of adjunct faculty.
Nationally Registered Paramedic
Progressive field experience in the emergency setting
Teaching experience
Appropriate program instructor credentials
