This position will provide portable and perishable tool support to Tool Repair and all programs at the Marietta site.

Along with daily portable and perishable tool support at the site, this position will coordinate with EDTI personnel in Fort Worth, Greenville and Palmdale to research, analyze and/or develop assembly hole preparation processes and will assist with the integration of best practices and standardization efforts to improve performance, quality and reduce cost.

What You Will Be Doing

- Interface with Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Tool Services and Shop Floor Personnel as needed to define critical hole preparation and assembly applications for improvement.

- Provide technical assistance and guidance to production personnel as required.

- Ability to work individually and within a teaming environment.

- Exhibit strong communication skills among peers and through different levels of management.

- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, good written and verbal communication for interfacing with technical support team and build teams.

Intermittent travel may be required to support other Lockheed Martin facilities including domestic and international production partners.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience and knowledge of portable equipment &/or cutting tools common to aircraft production.

- Experience and knowledge of cutting tools and their application, cutting tool geometry and inspection, set-up and programming of power-feed and electric drill motors, &/or hand tools commonly used in aircraft hole preparation operations.

- Experience with Catia V5, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Knowledge of manufacturing and Standard Tooling processes.

- Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.

- Experience resolving engineering, production, tooling &/or assembly issues.

Desired Skills:

- Min. 5 years Aircraft structural assembly and technical requirements experience.

- Min. 5 years experience resolving engineering, production, tooling and assembly issues.

- Knowledge of Marietta manufacturing and Standard Tooling processes.

- Demonstrated creative approach to technical problem solving.

- Experience in the application of lean/six sigma manufacturing techniques.

- Experience reading and interpreting blueprint requirements.

- Working Knowledge and experience with leading or providing oversight to various projects.

- Demonstrated Aircraft Manufacturing Experience

- Experience with SFM, PDM, QADS, and VAS software suites.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
