CACI is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to assist in developing data analysis products while streamlining processes in support of the NAVSEA 04X Ship Maintenance Performance Group NAVSEA04X3 Division, which focuses on Corporate Metrics and Data Analytics, Business Process Reengineering, Operations and Facilities and Equipment Maintenance project teams. In this role, you will be working across multiple functional teams where complex problem-solving and communication skills are critical to success. This position is based at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Portsmouth, VA. A current hybrid work schedule is in place , requiring 3 days a week on-site or as needed. Must currently hold or be able to attain U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (Minimum). (US Citizenship is required in order to obtain a security clearance from the DoD.)
CACI is seeking a Data Analyst to support business process and performance improvement efforts for the Naval Ship Maintenance Community. The data analyst's role focuses on analysis and problem-solving data challenges as they relate to types of data and/or the relationships among data elements. Produce visualizations, reports, and supporting analysis to measure performance and make actionable insights for business partners.
Job tasking includes the following:
Gather, cleanse, curate and standardize data to support sustainable and scalable data interaction, analysis and insight development.
Analyze large and complex data sets and support end-users by enhancing information through developing visualizations through dashboards, metrics and user interfaces.
Build analytic capabilities and modify existing tools/programs to grow the organizations knowledge and accommodate change.
Build data models and business glossary by gathering information from multiple sources such as business users, existing data sources, databases and other relevant documents and systems.
Serve as data and metric processing subject matter expert also demonstrating and understanding key data management principles and data use.
Work diligently in software development processes, software requirements, software maintenance and analyzing information.
Perform business and/or technical analyses to understand current customer environments (including discrepancies and inconsistencies), define customer needs, determine potential strategies, and deliver plans/proposals for process improvement opportunities and/or projects.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending technical meetings to participate in the improvement of existing metric processes and development of new methods
More About the Role
Assisting in developing and implementing project management strategy across the division.
Use Microsoft 365, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI other software as needed to Develop and Implement Metrics and Dashboards.
Prepare and deliver monthly status updates to the Program Manager.
Use Microsoft Project and other software as needed to track and ensure deliverables are accomplished on time.
Improve efficiency by streamlining processes and automating redundant tasks using PowerBI, PowerAutomate and available technologies.
You'll Bring These Qualifications
US Citizenship Required
Ability to obtain a DOD Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree in a field related to Business, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics or Data Science
Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
Proficiency in programming languages such as VBA, Python, SQL, Power BI, or similar Experience compiling data for analysis and metrics, working with data analysis methodologies, and supporting tools
Dashboard and visualization proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Python, and Excel advance charts or relation industry visualization software Lean Six Sigma Certification Green Belt/process improvement initiatives.
At least 5 years of experience in Naval Maintenance to include the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex databases with respect to JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
At least 5 years of continuing education in subject matter areas relevant to Metrics and Data Analysis. At least 5 years performing analysis for maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, and integration of systems through database design.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$57,500-$117,900
