About the Role
The Client Services Team ensures our clients leverage the full power of their software and services to realize business value, measure results, and achieve desired business outcomes. As a Principal Consultant, you will be an expert in client management, serving as a strategic advisor responsible for guiding clients with a customized asset management plan. Your primary focus will be on ensuring clients fully adopt the software and continuously improve their asset management programs using Brightly Software products and/or partners. You will excel in negotiation, scope management, and consensus building, utilizing your consulting background to drive successful client outcomes.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in consulting, be SaaS savvy, and thrive in an environment focused on high-impact, consultative client engagements.
What You'll Be Doing
Client Partnership: Develop strong relationships with client stakeholders at all levels, including executive, management, technical, and administrative.
Strategic Consulting: Identify, document, and deliver desired client business outcomes through strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
Client Success: Ensure the satisfaction and success of your client portfolio, measured by NPS and retention rates.
Best Practices: Develop and share best practices in client-experience management, and mentor team members in effective consulting techniques.
Health Checks and Reviews: Conduct regular client asset data health checks, provide recommendations, and perform capital planning reviews to showcase achieved business outcomes.
Leadership and Influence: Lead strategic initiatives, serve as a subject matter expert, and influence the work of others within your discipline.
Adoption and Advocacy: Enhance the adoption of Brightly Software Products by delivering data-driven insights and industry best practices. Advocate for clients within the organization, ensuring their needs are met.
Cultural Contribution: Foster an inclusive culture and promote diversity of thought both internally and externally.
Innovation and Improvement: Lead and participate in team and corporate projects to promote innovation and continuous improvement. Provide training on new processes and software platforms as needed.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with Brightly Software Product knowledge, best practices, and industry trends.
Reporting: Generate and provide reports for internal company projects and financials

The pay range for this position is $105,910 - $181,560 and the annual incentive target is 15% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
What You Need to Have:
BA/BS degree
10+ years of experience in a similar role with significant client industry/vertical market experience
Proven expertise in negotiation, client management, scope management, and consensus building
Knowledge of SaaS operations
Experience with PSA and Microsoft Office suite
Ability to travel frequently throughout the United States (about 25-30% travel anticipated)
Technical understanding of Building Architectural Systems, including Building Envelope, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Structural, and other supporting systems
Ability to interpret and make recommendations based on facility condition assessment reports and infrastructure capital planning reports
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional environment and manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously
Commitment to managing metrics and data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; strong organizational, time management, and project management skills
Diagnostic skills to efficiently solve client problems and engage internal stakeholders as needed
What Makes You Stand Out:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management
Thorough understanding of NFPA and other building code requirements
Extensive experience in a qualified facilities management profession, including executive leadership, management, or supervision
