Position summary: Responsible for assisting in conveying JMT's internal and external messages.

Essential functions and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and contribute to a small, creative team of communicators who impact local, regional, and corporate communications

  • Support the creation of multimedia content intended for internal and external platforms, including social media, the company website, and employee intranet

  • Assist in maintenance and upkeep of the employee intranet and corporate website.

  • Help maintain communications repositories

  • Ensure all communications align with the corporate written and visual style guides

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts on messaging opportunities

  • Support other communications functions, as needed

Required Skills

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail

Required Experience

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate program, with a major in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field

  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other common tools and software for marketing and communications

  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals

Qualifications preferred

  • Coursework in related field

  • Previous internship experience

  • Interest and knowledge in engineering, architecture, and construction (A/E/C) industry

    Working Conditions

    Work is performed within either a virtual or hybrid office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
