GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Analyst - Payments responsible for the process of escalated payments research through the execution of report creation/maintenance and data analysis. The Sr. Analyst will drive cross-functional issue resolution and process improvement efforts with various functional areas in the organization. The Sr. Analyst will also be responsible for communicating issue resolution and status updates to Payments leadership.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cross-functionally to research and resolve issues accurately and in a timely manner. Ensure escalated issues are resolved promptly. Communicate issues and trends to management and keep necessary operational peers informed.

  • Manage, research and analyze payment related research requests through various workflow streams

  • Navigate through SAP and Facets systems in order to research issues and identify process improvements

  • Create Business Objects reports to research any payments issues, provide a summary of findings, trends and gap analysis to Payments leadership.

  • Manage gaps in Business Objects reporting via SQL creation, maintenance, and end-user support and training.

  • Develop and lead Payment initiatives and process improvements; maintain communication to keep leadership up to date on project results.

  • Identify and recommend systems/process improvements necessary to gain efficiency and effectiveness; provides project management oversight in the execution of these recommendations.

  • Develop and maintain the relationship between the Payments Team and IT in troubleshooting and triage efforts.

  • Clearly document and maintain any business and system requirements and processes.

  • Project support during system upgrades and enhancements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of analysis experience

  • 3+ years of experience with query writing and/or report building

  • Knowledge of Business Objects

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Strong analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or Analytics

  • At least 5+ years of analysis experience

  • At least 5+ years of experience with query writing and/or report building

  • Knowledge of SQL Data Extraction
