Summary: Serves as an intermediary between Speedway IT Infrastructure and all infrastructure clients; governs key infrastructure vendors; focuses on projects and initiatives that require infrastructure's involvement and works with Infrastructure Management to ensure cross-functional resources' priorities are aligned; obtains requirements from IT and business clients for infrastructure related projects; manages project timelines, budgets and resource allocations Responsibilities: Manages relationships between Speedway IT Infrastructure, MPC and all internal and external customers Works with Infrastructure Management to review prioritization of IT projects and determines what employees' areas of focus should be from a prioritization perspective Develops detailed technical road maps for major infrastructure initiatives Maintains continuity of infrastructure operations by documenting and communicating actions, challenges and opportunities as needed Assists with scheduled periodic maintenance for operating system (OS) updates, software updates, configuration changes and maintenance renewals Keeps abreast of upcoming infrastructure-driven initiatives such as hardware refreshes or software upgrades, and ensures that resources and funding is allocated accordingly Helps manage ongoing infrastructure issues and ensures the right parties, both internal and external to Speedway, are involved in issue resolution Keeps abreast of technology, customer needs and industry related trends, and helps form a strategy to meet the changing needs of the Company's client base Assists in asset management; maintains inventory and warranty information, maintenance records, software and hardware registrations and documentation Provides status updates to peers and Management Assists Infrastructure Management with budget forecasting based on planned initiatives Coordinates and aids with Infrastructure initiatives; interprets infrastructure strategies into actionable project plans Aids in generating contracts; ensures vendor partners comply with contractual terms and service level agreements (SLAs) Completes other duties, including special projects, as assigned by Management Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field, or 5 years of experience in IT Experience Requirements: 8-10 years of related IT experience Previous project management experience preferred Previous experience with handling and resolving multiple high-complexity issues Carries out responsibilities of high significance and complexity Receives occasional guidance from more experienced professionals Provides advice and guidance to less experienced professionals and other personnel as situations require Researches issues and makes recommendations for program modifications, develops programs and implements Assists other personnel in development of reports to monitor Corporate/Division/Department goals and objectives Skill Requirements: Demonstrated expertise with Word, Excel, and other MS Office suite applications Excellent communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to research and resolve issues Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and rapidly changing priorities Ability to present information, both verbally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner Ability to track multiple efforts concurrently Ability to work with little to no supervision Positive and professional attitude Good understanding of intra-department functions and operations Ability to perform repeated bending, standing and reaching Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Additional Requirements: Availability to work outside of scheduled hours This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by the individuals assigned to this job.
