Job Summary
Dominion Energy Ohio is looking for a Supervisor - Gas Operations to join the team in Lima, OH. This role supervises the maintenance, repair, and restoration of gas distribution facilities, project and resource management, customer experience and monitoring of work.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Supports reliability performance goals.
Supervises crews during outages to ensure timely restoration of service.
Schedules, assigns and monitors the work of maintenance crews, Service representatives, administrative staff and contractors.
Pre / post inspect jobs, resolves design problems and material discrepancies, reviews contractor expenses to ensure accurate time and equipment charges.
Ensures proper work methods are applied and safety precautions are followed.
Resolves customer complaints.
Advises and assists in technical training and development of employees.
Supervises emergency restoration of service activities, including night management of work. Utilizes WMIS, GIS, and SAP applications.
Monitors budget goals and employee productivity.
The supervisor will need to be available 24x7 (including nights and weekends) to answer calls on an as-needed basis. Depending on the nature of the call, the supervisor is also expected to be available to respond to the work site/office if needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Minimum Requirements (Note: A partial year of related work experience of 6 months or greater will be considered one year towards the qualifications):
5+ years directly related experience (plus Associate's degree or its equivalent) or
3+ years of directly related experience (plus Bachelor's degree).
Must be able to respond to Lima shop within 60 minutes
Must have valid driver's license
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge: Full knowledge of pipeline distribution system; construction work methods; maintenance and repair; operations guidelines; cost analysis; customer service
Skills: leadership; contract interpretation; interpersonal; strong verbal and written communication; project and time management; organizing. essential computer skills.
Abilities : teaming; motivate employees; decision making; handle constantly changing and emerging priorities; schedule and prioritize work; physical attributes required to perform essential function of the job - walking, climbing, stooping, bending and prolonged standing.
