Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) business area is seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Troy, AL facility.
What You Will Be Doing
Duties include but are not limited to:
-Interfacing with Production, Program Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering personnel
-Investigate and work non-conformance issues through to root cause/corrective action
-Seek continuous improvement through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit/assessment activities
-Complete Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs) and Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) Walk Downs
-Work Audit findings to root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures, etc.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A final secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors or higher in a STEM discipline from an accredited college.
- Must have a fully adjudicated secret clearance prior to starting and be able to maintain for the duration of the role.
- The candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to achieve special access.
**Candidate must be able to pass a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (-ATF-) background check to obtain approval to be an -employee possessor- (of explosives or other ATF-regulated items) as defined by ATF regulations. Failure to obtain and retain employee possessor status may result in revocation of an offer and loss of employment.
Desired Skills:
- Mechanical or industrial engineering degree.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
- Quality discipline internship or DoD Industry internship.
- Experience with SAP, Windchill, MPMLink
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
