The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Cloud Engineerto join our exciting Everything-as-a-Services Factory (ESF) team in the Northern Virginia area. The ESF is made up of an agile team of engineers using a common factory-like approach to define/codify repeatable service playbooks and take these services to market. The cloud and infrastructure automation expert will serve as a trusted advisor, technical leader and application expert for the organization and drive future growth capabilities from existing engagements.
The Cloud and infrastructure automation expert will plan, document, and execute cloud infrastructures, deployments, products, apps, reports, alerts, and dashboards. Application deployments will be orchestrated within Cloud environments and includes recognizing and integrating new data sources. These services will be packaged into solutions that can be easily integrated into customer locations. The Cloud Expert will utilize their communication skills to develop technical documents for project teams and customers to use to as accelerators for their projects. The Cloud Expert will also develop instructions and guides for project teams and customers to identify vulnerabilities, new threat exposures, and emerging security technologies, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
This Cloud Engineer will be responsible for creating and managing AWS, GCP & Azure-based prototype environments, testing / prototyping cutting-edge migration tools, and configuring new cloud environments across a variety of Government clouds. You will have the unique opportunity to experience and contribute across many aspects of our business, working alongside our programs as they support a diverse set of customers.
Responsibilities:
Interact with end users and gather requirements
Create and manage playbooks for applying cloud and infrastructure automation techniques to real-world situations
Onboard new data sources analyzing the date for anomalies/trends, and build dashboard for key trends
Mentor users and other groups on cloud and infrastructure automation
Effectively and accurately document work in various formats (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Provide technical guidelines for Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolutions
Secure infrastructure using Cloud Vendor/OpenStack security groups, firewall configurations, and SSL/PKI
Apply required security patches, make regular updates to deployed software, and manage user accounts
Build and optimize cloud environments using cloud vendors' best practices and scale them to meet growing user needs.
Research, evaluate, and integrate top internal and external migration tools to accelerate cloud migration
Create and manage prototype environments applying best practices to optimize performance and security
Qualifications:
Required :
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college and 7+ years of related work experience OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
Passion for metrics and data collection
A strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
Exceptional analytic abilities
Expertise with Linux and command line interface
Fluency in at least one scripting/coding language such as Shell and Python
Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
Must be able to effectively use Word, PowerPoint, Azure DevOps, etc
Understanding of agile development practices, including Agile Scrum methodology
Desired :
AWS, GCP and/or Azure professional certification - Associate or equivalent/higher certification
Experience configuring and/or utilizing monitoring/logging solutions for operations such as: Nagios, Collectd, Kafka
Experience with the development of documentation, architecture diagrams, and process and procedure for end users
Knowledge of various operating systems (Linux, Windows) and databases (Mongo, Postgres, MySQL, Oracle)
Software development experience in one or more software languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, Groovy, Rust, Perl, Java, Javascript/NodeJS, Bash, C, C++)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$82,100-$172,400
