Job Summary
Dominion's System Protection Engineering department is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to support the Company's evolving transmission and distribution grids. Engineering interns will work with experienced team members to assist on transmission, distribution, or distributed generation projects or complete individual work assignments related to relay protection, coordination, logic design, and operational performance.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Candidate must be a full-time student majoring in ABET accredited Electrical Engineering program with a graduation date of Spring 2025, Winter 2025, Spring 2026 or Winter 2026
Must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher; a 3.0 cumulative GPA is strongly preferred.
Programming skills for automation assignments preferred (e.g. VBA, Python, .NET, C#)
Equally effective working independently or in a team environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments
Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices
