Job Summary:
The Respiratory Aide I cleans, assembles, delivers, and maintains respiratory supplies and equipment. This role is responsible for ordering and stocking supplies that are non-par level, equipment, and medical gas. Must maintain a clean, organized, and functional work area.
Essential Functions:
Cleans, sterilizes, assembles, tests, and maintains par levels of equipment.
Orders, maintains, and delivers oxygen. Complies with regulatory and governing body requirements, including but not limited to DOT and FDA regulations, related to oxygen and other hazardous material.
Provides maintenance of and arranges for the repair of broken equipment.
Receives for respiratory supplies and equipment deliveries.
May provide office or warehouse tasks to include labeling storage bins, shelves, or other inventory locations.
Fills orders for respiratory supplies and equipment.
May setup and remove equipment and supplies.
Based on setting, may load/unload delivery vehicle, deliver and pick up home medical equipment (HME). May provide patient instruction on the installation and operation of HME equipment. Maintains safe operation of delivery vehicle by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving rules and regulations.
Education:
Required Licensing & Certifications:
BLS Basic Life Support- American Heart Association (preferred)
Valid driver's license in state of residence (required for DME setting)
