This role will offer you the following daily opportunities:
In support of Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program located at the Eastern Range, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida, perform as a Network Engineer. This position receives day-to-day operations guidance from program staff and reports to the FBM IT Operations Space Coast Manager.
Duties include all aspects of Network administration to include:
- Performs network switch/router/appliance configuration and installation.
- Provides end user support with troubleshooting capability to the site LAN & WAN, resolves and/or escalations of all hardware, software, or network related problems.
- Performs network hardware and software installation, configuration and support.
- Performs network configuration, testing and troubleshooting, LAN (local area network), VLAN (virtual local area network), Wireless LAN and WAN (wide area network) internetworking.
- Knowledge of network administration, network monitoring and troubleshooting with network analyzers.
The candidate will have a background and be familiar with network design, network hardware procurement, network integration, and maintenance of network systems. Some travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain Security+ Certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 level II or higher certification) within 90 days of hire
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks
- Network troubleshooting and knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, and WAN technologies including configuring and maintaining routers and switches
- Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
Desired Skills:
- Experience as a Network Administrator
- Experience with Windows Server operating systems
- ServiceNow Support Experience
- Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing
- Professional Technical Certifications (i.e., CCNA, Network+)
- Collaboration Tools experience (Confluence, Jira, SharePoint)
- Experience providing remote troubleshooting/investigation/resolution
- Information Assurance vulnerability remediation
- Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as, STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
- Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools
- Document existing and new network architectures using Visio
- Experience with Agile

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
