TheIT Systems EngineeratBatteries Plusparticipates in one or more phases of the software development life cycle in accordance with company policies and procedures. These may include requirements/definition/analysis, design/implementation, verification/validation and support.

Responsibilities:

IT Engineering

  • Participate on engineering teams to perform software engineering tasks within time, quality and cost constraints.

  • Perform one or more software engineering tasks for the project, ensuring adherence to procedures and process requirements. Such activities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Participate in requirements capture and analysis.

  • Participate in developing software design based on project requirements.

  • Participate in software implementation based on design.

  • Participate in software integration.

  • Participate in software verification and validation.

  • Participate in technical writing in support of completing necessary documentation.

  • Act as a leader on assigned projects or programs.

  • Ensure completion of assigned tasks, projects or programs according to schedule.

  • Reviews and modifies existing software to improve performance, correct errors, and conform with compatibility requirements of available hardware. Design, implement and execute test procedures for standard software products.

  • Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems.

  • Complete the necessary documentation for assigned projects, to include certification documents.

  • Trains, or provides training documentation to users on new or modified applications.

    DevOps

  • Support the design, development, and automation of deployment and monitoring of DevOps infrastructure components.

  • Monitor and manage cloud operations, applications and environments, ensuring system performance objectives are being maintained.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to define and improve DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.

  • Participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

    Business Continuity

  • Establish and create the standards for the day-to-day functionality of the server and systems infrastructure.

  • Work onsite remotely, and at locations that house network/systems infrastructure to install, troubleshoot, and support all infrastructure needs.

  • Provide expertise in system and server problem identification. Resolve issues that are identified.

  • Recommend and design best methods of infrastructure management to maximize uptime.

  • Design customer facing systems that are fault tolerant.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

  • 5+ years of experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or MBA preferred

  • MSCE, MCSA, CCIE Certifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and managing Azure infrastructure offerings. Azure App Services, App Service Plan, Traffic Manager, Application Gateway, VNet, VM, KeyVault, Azure Storage, Monitoring, App Insights, Log Analytics, VSTS/Azure DevOps, PaaS, SaaS, LaaS.

  • Knowledge and experience with code to deploy infrastructure components using PowerShell and ARM Templates - Infrastructure as code.

  • Skilled understanding of Infrastructure and Cloud architecture, server operating systems, security infrastructure.

  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management
