We provide a 6-month competitive wage and incentive guarantee so that you have the necessary time to learn our business. Our average hourly sales associates earn over $21 per hour in wages and incentives, with some above $24. Our highly competitive compensation package consists of base pay, monthly bonus and individual performance incentives.

Our locally owned franchise group has 13 Retail sales and customer service locations in Oregon and SW Washington. If you like to learn new skills and provide excellent customer service and enjoy sales, we would love to hear from you. We also have a need for future management, commercial sales and training team candidates in our branches for those that want to advance in their career in the Portland Metro/Vancouver Markets.

No prior experience with batteries or light bulbs is required as we will take care of the training, all you need is a background in customer service and selling and a desire to grow. As part of our investment in your long term success with our company we require all new sales and customer service associates to participate in paid training in our Portland training location for 2 to 3 weeks in order to learn our products, systems, customer service expectations and sales incentive opportunities available to you.

With almost 700 locations, and access to over 45,000 unique battery and light bulb products, Batteries Plus Bulbs has become the single source supplier for all battery and light bulb power needs.
Duties :
Customer Service / Selling
Demonstrate a customer first mentality
Greet customers, determine needs and ask questions
Look for additional opportunities and needs
Sell add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales goals and bonuses
Operate technology based Point of Sale system to complete sales transactions
In bound phone sales / service
Install large and small batteries in various devices
Function as a team player
Merchandising / Inventory
Inventory stock maintenance and management
Ship and or deliver to commercial accounts
Maintain clean and full store appearance
Build displays; to better market seasonal products
Prepare store for daily opening and closing
Qualifications :
Must be able to work a 40 hour work week that include Saturday and Sunday shifts.
Good listening and verbal communication skills
Sales and customer service
Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's electronic POS and cross reference system
Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects
Ability to calculate simple math and percentages
Strong eyesight and technical aptitude required for various types of repair work we offer
Valid driver's license and ability to get to area stores
Must be able to lift 50 + lbs. to eye level
