Job Summary: Responsible for performing duties involving the pickup and delivery of merchandise supplies documents etc. May read cash registers and operate a motor vehicle. Duties and Responsibilities: Picks up and delivers mail merchandise flower delivery etc. supplies and miscellaneous documents to designated persons and locations obtains necessary receipt or signature as necessary. Carries change fundmake change as needed. May read cash register at designated store locations on a daily basis. Picks up register tapes and actual cash turned in to be verified by deposit cashiers. Transports verified cash to designated banking facility. Advises cashiers at pick up points as to correct security procedures to be followed and insures that cash is secured with proper identification. Refers to supervisor any unusual incident which may affect the security of the deliveries made. May operate a motor vehicle in the performance of the above duties on a limited basis. Performs other related duties as assigned. Works under the general supervision of a designated supervisor who is available for assistance and instruction. Carries out daily assignments in accordance with routines established. Work is reviewed in terms of timeliness and compliance with security measures outlined. JOB REQUIREMENTS If incumbent operates a motor vehicle : 1. Must possess a valid state drivers license or a valid commercial drivers license CDL. 2. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to operate a motor vehicle safely Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE Six 6 months of responsible clerical or office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position. OR SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE Graduation from a full 4 year or senior high school or possession of a General Education Development High School Equivalency Certificate GED.
