Assist mine and mill operations to collect, process, and analyze material, in-process, and finished product samples.
Performs lab tests including, but not limited to, inspection of in process and finished product talc for LOI, Carbonate, Color etc.
Assist mine and plant managers to manage and schedule all assigned analytical and quality control projects.
Make recommendations to manager or corrective measures to be taken to maintain quality standards.
Monitors production processes to ensure quality control measures are met.
Ensures operations are within specifications.
Controls and updates samples and logs as requested by Customer Service.
Develops and implement Statistical Process Controls in Lab and production areas.
Work on mine and milling related projects as directed by supervisor.
Maintains records and samples and develops reports for reporting to Site Managers and Corporate Managers.
Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to manager.
May interact with Customers and sales personnel as needed to resolve and avoid complaints.
Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
Follows operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.
Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies of plant.
Demonstrate safe work practices
Performs other related duties as required
Education & Knowledge:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer literacy. Knowledge of testing procedures to determine product specifications.
Knowledge of auditing and quality control measures.
