Join our Strategic Weapons Facility, Atlantic (SWFLANT) Electronics Factory Management Team (EFMT) in Kings Bay, GA.
We are seeking a Senior Manager who will report to the SWFLANT Director and will have leadership responsibilities of approximately 70 employees within the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF) and Cable Shop FMT's. The SWFLANT FMTs are a multifunctional group consisting of Assemblers, Test Technicians, Productions Salaried Support and Engineers.
In this dynamic and challenging role, you will:
- Manage new build Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Electronic Flight Packages assembly and test
- Manage FBM Tactical, Flight test, and Reentry cable manufacturing & test
- Manage repair and test of fleet returned FBM D5 Electronic Packages & cables
- Manage development and activation efforts associated with FBM program requirements.
- Coordinate activation/refurbishment planning for FBM Package Test Console (PTC), Mechanical Support Equipment and Project Tool capabilities in support of FBM product directorates
- Act as Cost Account Manager for MISF EFMT
Operations and requalification efforts.
- Provide Leadership, guidance and oversight as
required for cross functional teams responsible
for the performance of programmatic trade
studies.
- Manage/coordinate 1LMX & unique digital modernization initiatives.
- Develop/manage business success metrics through
status charts, scorecards, and other digital processes/systems for US Customers and LM Management.
Please note that this position does NOT support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Kings Bay, GA, and will be expected to work in the office.
Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in engineering, or business degree (if Business Degree needs a significant demonstrated experience in flight electronics assembly/manufacturing)
- Possess demonstrated experience as a Full Spectrum Leader providing exceptional program management
while managing/developing other leaders and managers of within a large aerospace organization.
- Demonstrated change leadership mindset driving 1LMx and unique innovation into all areas of production, manufacturing, and test shops
- Significant experience interfacing and
presenting to senior DOD/Military customers (O6/GS15 and higher)
- Strong delegation skills with effective follow up
techniques and the ability to achieve closure.
- Strong Customer program level relations skills and direct
customer interface experience.
- Strong business acumen background. Experience executing cost account manager duties having successfully managed technical, schedule and cost elements of a major project/manufacturing area.
- You will need to be a US Citizen (no dual citizens), and currently posses a SECRET Clearance , with ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:
- LM21 Green Belt Trained
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of the
unique facility requirements of missile flight hardware
build, processing, assembly, and testing
operations.
- Significant experience working at a Government Owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) facility understanding the complexities of facility management/maintenance associated with DOD facilities.
- Knowledge of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) flight electronics packages/cables
- Knowledge of LM Space manufacturing and quality requirements
- Knowledge of FBM program quality requirements
- Currently possess a Secret clearance with
ability to maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
- Schedule management experience, ability to
multi-task and meet demanding schedules.
- Demonstrated experience with root cause,
corrective action and continuous improvement
methodologies.
- Ability to use metrics to critically assess
organization, measure performance and take
corrective action.
- Possess at least 5 years of demonstrated
experience as a Leader providing exceptional
program management while managing other
leaders and managers of a large aerospace
organization.
- Experience leading a represented workforce

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
