We are seeking a Director of Construction for a hybrid position at our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, NC, with the opportunity to work from home and in the office at various times. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the construction of new company locations and supporting franchisees in their new restaurant development. Responsibilities Select and manage builders to ensure that projects are built on time, within the budget, and to GC specifications through field inspections during construction. Responsible for correcting any deviations observed. Prepare construction budgets, pre-development investigators, permits, bidding projects, and closeouts. Approve plans, make onsite construction reviews, and support and advise at all phases of development to ensure on-time openings. Provide updates for all elements of construction progress and concerns for assigned projects and suggested methods for implementing cost reduction ideas and design changes. Order and review architectural and site plans, survey, environmental, and geotechnical reports. Education/ExperienceA degree in construction or construction management is preferred. Estimating experience is a must. Background as a general contractor, building restaurants, owner of a construction company, an estimating background, background as a superintendent, or a background in site work is preferred.
