Cracker Barrel is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join the Compensation team at our Home Office in Lebanon, TN! In this role, you would be responsible for compensation administering company compensation programs, including base pay, short-term incentive plans, and long-term incentive plans.
Use job analysis and documentation techniques to evaluate jobs using Cracker Barrel's job grading system. Utilize online market pricing system to evaluate and market price jobs. Create market analyses and make sound recommendations to support Cracker Barrel's compensation philosophy.
Lead the design and creation of new base pay programs and structures for acquisitions and expansions.
Responsible for calculating all field bonus plans calculations. Accurately calculate the bonus plan payments according to the plan documents. Develop tools to use in the calculations and document all processes. Communicate with operations and store leadership to increase the understanding of bonus plans.
Calculate and administer the long-term cash incentive plans. Ensure the calculations are accurate according to the plan documents. Communicate to plan participants to improve the understanding of the plan.
Assist in the evaluation and analysis of all short and long term incentive plans. Participate in recommending changes to incentive plans.
Administer the company's Employee Stock Purchase plan. Partner with the external vendor to accurately execute the purchase of Cracker Barrel stock in accordance with the plan documents.
Administer the long-term stock plan grants programs. Partner with the external vendor to execute stock vesting. Communicate with stock plan participants on the granting and vesting of stock.
Participate in compensation planning cycles for merit increases, wage inflation, and incentive plan projections
Lead several key compensation processes including annual merit increases, mid-year increases, offcycle promotion and special adjustment requests.
Partner with operations leadership to review job offers, promotions, transfers, and other special requests.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
2-4 years experience in Compensation or Human Resources; or equivalent combination of education
and experience.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Proficient computer skills including strong knowledge of spreadsheet, database, and presentation
software.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
Detail and multi-task oriented.
Basic knowledge of economic and financial theories.
Knowledge of employment and wage and hour laws.
Knowledge of Compensation practices and theory.
