POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the Accounting Department by executing daily tasks with a strong attention to detail. They will be responsible for the work required to close the general ledger on a monthly and annual basis for multiple companies.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Monitors daily bank transactions and updates accounting system to reflect cleared checks and outgoing wires
- Reconciles all bank accounts on a monthly basis
- Analyses various asset, liability and expense accounts on a monthly basis and in connection with the year-end audits
- Prepares monthly departmental financial statements
- Maintains, analyzes, and reconciles to the general ledger the fixed asset database and posts depreciation expense and asset disposals in the general ledger
- Reconciles the inventory valuation to the general ledger on a monthly basis
- Prepares various general journal entries as needed, including but not limited to the reallocation of freight expense, bank charges, miscellaneous debits/credits to the bank account, and payroll expenses
- Executes standard cost roll-ups for inventory items
- Prepares daily sales statistics and order statistics report and distributes to management
- Coordinates month-end closing process on first business day to ensure proper cut off of logistics transactions
- Perform selected general administrative duties
- Process expense reports and assist with accounts payable tasks
- Post cash, ACH, and credit card receipts.
- Process sales tax and miscellaneous debits and credits

Required Experience:
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Finance or Accounting: Preferred
Experience: 4 plus years experience in a similar accounting role: Required. Or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM and proficient with 10 key data entry: Preferred
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel including pivot tables and other advanced functions: Required
Certifications & Licenses:
Must maintain a valid Driver's License that meets Busch insurance standards
