Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Pipe Welders for projects located in and around San Diego, CA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $36/hour based on experience & skill level plus $150/per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Weld a variety of metal surfaces or pipe using various types of welding equipment
Weld shell plating, fabricated cast or forged components according to specifications for vessels, tanks, or other structural assemblies
Set up tools, welding equipment, & supplies at job site
Burn pipe or penetration tacks & welds pipe
Clean weld area
Sweep & remove scraps
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
5+ Years of Shipyard Experience
Must have OSHA 10 Maritime, Firewatch Certification
Weld Test
Drug Screen
Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Must have Copper, Nickel Experiene
3+ Years Experienve in Welding work
Knowledge of Welding Procedures & Various types of Welding Equipment
Proficieny in Flat, Vertical, Overhead, & Horizontal Arc, Smaw, & Fluxcore, TIG welding, & air ARC Skills
Must be Ceritifed to Operate High Reaching Equipment
Ability to work at Heights & in Confined Spaces
Ability to work Any Shift as needed
Ability to read instructions
