Overview

Senior Manager, Client Strategy

Key functions:

  • Managing Strategic accounts, running their business on Amazon.com

  • Client retention: mitigating risk of client turnover

  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings, client audits, etc.

  • Standardization and templatization of business review documents and case studies

  • Ad-hoc consulting, projects, or reporting

  • Providing category analytics to brands and internal team

Responsibilities

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Client/Brand Management

  • Managing 2-3 brands

  • Creating resources for team: Case Studies, Audit deck, MBR, QBR templates etc.

  • Client meetings, strategy for BMs

  • Category analytics - 1010 data, Nielsen etc. for Client presentations

  • Working with tech on automation/tools for team

  • Team

  • Provide category information using various Acosta tools such as 1010 data, Nielsen, other to brands and internal team

  • Provide brand audits to business development team in PowerPoint and Excel format

  • Client Strategy

  • Key KPI will be client retention (at a brand count and revenue level)

  • Respond to brand manager submissions for strategic support or client risk assessment, present appropriate strategy, Amazon programs or services to clients

  • Ad-hoc strategic projects: consulting, brand management support, client-specific projects

  • Responsible for explaining strategy to all levels (account managers to CEOs) and procuring the necessary buy-in from clients (funding, allocation, product development, company headcount, etc.)

  • Client-facing, provide perspective from the brand management, operations, and marketing teams to develop cohesive strategy and offload legwork from operations/marketing leadership to unify strategy to come from one voice

  • Support Brand Managers with strategic support at a set cadence to proactively address client needs

  • Includes, but not limited to, business reviews, face-to-face meetings, forecasting and merchandising planning

  • Setting a high-bar for client acumen and identifying weak points in client communication to be addressed

  • Create standardized documentation in Word, Excel and PowerPoint to solve key client problems and proactively address common client topics

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience working with Amazon Vendor Central and/or Seller Central

  • Exposure to Amazon Advertising and DSP

  • 5+ years working in merchandising, category management, strategy, business management or related field

  • CPG background desired

  • Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Microsoft office suite Power BI experience desired

  • Ability to travel to client sites or tradeshows as necessary

  • BA or advanced degree
