Cracker Barrel is seeking a Sys/App Administrator to join the Home Office. In this role, this partner will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing networked software and associated server hardware & operating systems. You'll apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
60% System Maintenance
Monitor software applications, document and analyze problems and publish maintenance schedules.
Work closely with application development/implementation teams to tune and troubleshoot applications.
Plan, coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.
Tier 1-3 support calls, performs diagnosis to determine the nature and cause of issues.
Works closely with Tier 1 support and other Application Administrators to take appropriate action to resolve user issues.
30% System Installation/Configuration
Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and various software packages.
Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established policies and procedures.
10% Vendor Interaction
Reviews products associated with operating systems and user systems purchased and implemented; assists in presentation of information to management.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent technical training is required
Minimum of 2 years in an enterprise environment
