Lead Structures Technician (Fairing) - 2nd shift at SpaceX

LEAD STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN (FAIRING) - 2ND SHIFT

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.

• Schedule risk identification and mitigation activity.

• Coordinate support organization efforts to minimize production interruptions.

• Enforce area standards and run rules.

• Personnel training and development.

• Develop and implement efficiency improvement projects.

• Root cause analysis and the implementation of corresponding corrective action plans.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.

• Minimum of 5 years of structural assembly experience.

• Experience leading a team of at least 6 employees within a manufacturing production environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience gained through the military or within an aviation manufacturing company is a plus.

• High-volume manufacturing experience is a plus.

• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Experience with drilling, reaming, hone and countersinking straight and close tolerance holes.

• Experience using various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools, floor-mounted power tools and precision measuring tools on structures materials.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. This is a second shift role (estimated shift start time 3 pm).

• Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.

• Must be able to lift 25lbs unassisted.
