Lead Structures Technician (Fairing) - 2nd shift at SpaceX

LEAD STRUCTURES TECHNICIAN (FAIRING) - 2ND SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications.
Schedule risk identification and mitigation activity.
Coordinate support organization efforts to minimize production interruptions.
Enforce area standards and run rules.
Personnel training and development.
Develop and implement efficiency improvement projects.
Root cause analysis and the implementation of corresponding corrective action plans.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
Minimum of 5 years of structural assembly experience.
Experience leading a team of at least 6 employees within a manufacturing production environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience gained through the military or within an aviation manufacturing company is a plus.
High-volume manufacturing experience is a plus.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Experience with drilling, reaming, hone and countersinking straight and close tolerance holes.
Experience using various types of hand tools and/or hand-held power tools, floor-mounted power tools and precision measuring tools on structures materials.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. This is a second shift role (estimated shift start time 3 pm).
Must be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces.
Must be able to lift 25lbs unassisted.
