Goodwin William Staffing is currently seeking responsible, highly motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team/work with one of our clients as aSurvey Team Leader.Job Description:The position has opportunity for advancement for motivated individuals willing to learn the skills and technology required of a surveyor.Must be able to work with others on the team, as a member of a survey crew assisting in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, hydrographic, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology.Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations.Ensure safekeeping of equipment.Ensure that their assigned vehicle and survey equipment are safe and kept in an orderly fashion ready for duty.Work locations may vary. Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods.Primary Locations Include:Charlottesville, Richmond, Williamsburg, Newport News and Alexandria.Position/Pay Requirements:This position is a Non-Exempt role as required by federal and state lawsThis role includes a company supplied vehicle to be housed at the employees homeEmployees hourly pay start from the time they leave home until they return homePay Rate:$25.00 - $30.00 per hour, DOERequirements:Must have a minimum of 5 years of Survey experienceMust have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Minimum).Must have good Mathematical skills.Must have computer skills.Must have good communication skills.Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record.Must pass a drug test.Must be able to work independently without supervision.Ability to obtain a security clearance is a plus.Must be physically able to work outdoors in all terrains including along highways, wooded environments, on small boats on lakes, rivers, and bays, and on construction sites under all weather conditions and terrain.Ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 50 lbs.; includes body weight, equipment, tools, and boxes, in addition the ability to stand for long periods on varied surfaces.Must be able to work overtime as required.Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods.Must beability to work well with coworkers and clients.
