Cracker Barrel is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join the Home Office as a part of our Transformation Management Office (TMO). The TMO is an enterprise function responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and sustainment of the corporate strategy. The department works directly with senior executives across corporate functions, like Marketing, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, etc., to frame business challenges, identify approaches and solutions, prioritize work, plan execution and ensure effective implementation. In addition, the team is accountable to identify, create and implement enterprise capabilities, organizational best practices and tools including but not limited to change management, portfolio and project management, balance scorecard, agile, process improvement frameworks, etc.
The team is a cross-discipline comprised of resources with strategy, portfolio, project and relevant restaurant business, operational and IT experience. Our corporate services include: Strategy, Corporate Planning, Internal Consultancy, Portfolio Management, Project Management, Change Management and Project Management.
Due to the department's mandate, the role calls for comfortable working independently, problem solving, embracing complexity and ambiguity as well as experience with engaging senior executives and willingness to rolling-up sleeves to drive success.
Lead enterprise-wide problem-solving efforts. Define the problem, gather data (quantitative and qualitative), analyze data, develop and test hypothesizes and deliver executive level recommendations
Plan and mobilize enterprise-wide teams for strategic projects (including but not limited to business, operational or technology related)
Support the development and rollout of enterprise-wide project management best practices including tools and templates
Lead delivery of enterprise-wide projects
Lead change management efforts for enterprise-wide strategic initiatives
Recognized formal project management qualification (PMP/APMP/Prince2/P30 or equivalent) is
desirable
Direct project management experience in large scale complex operational or technology projects
Familiarity with different project methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scale Agile, V Testing Model,
Business Requirements Traceability Matrix)
Experience building relations, engaging and managing cross-functional teams
Experience with project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, SmartSheets, Wrike, Monday.com), Data Tools (Tableau, MS BI), Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to modulate content and messaging to
audience (technical vs. executive)
Agile, Lean Six Sigma, Kanban and ADKAR
Restaurant or hospitality experience
Strong interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail, both written and numerical, and commitment to quality
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or related field.
3-5 years of experience in project management
