Please review the following job description:

Provide the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors with an independent assessment of credit risk within the loan portfolios by performing individual transaction reviews to assess adherence to Truist credit policies, procedures and banking regulations. Verify the accuracy of the assigned risk rating and assess the quality of credit underwriting and structuring. Identify and elevate exposures that are outside of Truist's lending limits, risk appetite or are not consistent with prudent lending standards. Actively maintain and increase industry and lending segment expertise.

LOCATION:

Must be able to come in the office 4 days a week (working 1 day remote)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Completes less complex to complex worksheet reviews with coaching and training as needed.

  2. General knowledge of credit underwriting and documentation, transaction structuring, risk management principles and controls and broad-based business practices.

  3. Working understanding of banking and lending practices, financial analysis, accounting rules and credit products.

  4. Proactively make recommendations for CRR's continuous improvement and teammate well-being

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  2. 12 years of risk related work experience

  3. Solid analytical and decision making skills

  4. Solid organizational, interpersonal, communication, facilitation and negotiation skills

  5. Solid experience and competency in relationship and project management.

  6. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Commercial Credit Analysis skills

  2. Ability to review traditional and specialized CRE exposure
