We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
Dominion Energy has an exciting opportunity in Shared Services as either a Materials Specialist or Senior Materials Specialist, commensurate on selected candidate's skills. This position will be filled at our Castlewood warehouse.
Materials Specialist
Assists in providing materials management support for delivery operations. Evaluates and processes material requisitions and reservations, to ensure material and required documentation are available when needed. Analyzes material usage patterns for planned and stocked items, to ensure cost effective and adequate materials are available in a timely manner. Assists in resolving supply chain issues. Assists in planning and implementation of sourcing initiatives. Develops supplier and service network. Analyzes surplus and obsolete materials and acts to minimize stocking levels.
Senior Materials Specialist
Provides inventory management support to electric and gas delivery operations. Develops and maintains material master. Utilizes Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system to optimize supply chain management. Analyzes material usage patterns to classify planned and stocked items. Resolves supply chain issues between suppliers and customer groups. Leads implementation of sourcing initiatives. Develops supplier and service network, to ensure adequate supply sources. Analyzes inventory and surplus or obsolete materials and acts to minimize stocking levels. Prepares and monitors inventory forecasts. Tracks and identifies material and vendor stocking requirements. Analyzes inventory methods of control, reduction, classification, usage, and other development techniques. Assists with development and implementation of warehousing strategies. May evaluate and process material requisitions and reservations, to ensure items are properly classified and described, attributes meet corporate standards, and need date is sufficient.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Materials Specialist
2-3 years related work experience.
Knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
Knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.
Knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of inventory analysis techniques.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Basic forecasting and trend analysis skills.
Computer skills.
Value and cost analysis skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and to meet deadlines.
Ability to process information quickly and accurately.

Senior Materials Specialist
5-6+ years of related work experience.
In-depth knowledge of materials management, procurement processes, and inventory control.
Working knowledge of material contract law.
Comprehensive knowledge of client groups, commodities, and specialties.
Working knowledge of environmental, government, legal, and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes for equipment and materials.
Knowledge of inventory analysis techniques, including RUSL analysis and trending of material usage patterns.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Strong problem solving, analytical, forecasting, trend analysis, and value and cost analysis skills.
Strong computer skills, with emphasis on Supply Chain, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Customer service orientation.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to process information quickly and accurately.
Ability to read and use vendor manuals, drawings, equipment and material codes, and standards.
Results orientation.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:
Bachelor
Preferred disciplines: Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration
