Job Description:
You will provide active concurrent review, feedback, and education to improve documentation of all conditions and treatments in the inpatient medical record, to ensure an accurate reflection of the patient condition(s) in the associated MS-DRG assignments, case-mix index, severity of illness and risk of mortality profiling and reimbursement.
Education Qualifications:
Qualifications:
Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing as an RN (Registered Nurse). CDI Specialist Certification required at time of hire or within 6 months from time of eligibility for CCDS Exam (after 2 years of experience in the role).
Work Experience:
1 year of clinical documentation improvement work experience OR at least 2 years professional nursing experience, preferably in the medical, surgical, or ICU.
