We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Affairs Coordinator to join our team in Indianapolis, IN!

Job Summary:

Evaluates and renders an interpretation of internal laboratory data from myeloma studies (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE) globally for all Labcorp Drug Development CLS laboratory sites.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Prepares internal raw laboratory data from myeloma studies (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE) in Indianapolis and transmitted via email from other Labcorp Drug Development CLS laboratories.

  • Reviews laboratory data, including historical results, and interprets and codes internal lab data from myeloma studies (SPEP, SIFE, UPEP and SIFE) in Indianapolis and all global CLS laboratory sites.

  • Maintains the raw data with interpretations and codes in hard copy files and scans these into cross-referenced computer files for historical comparisons.

  • May provide temporary coverage for Senior Coordinator as a liaison between Global Project Management and Special Chemistry for the set up and maintenance of Protocols that include serum and urine electrophoresis and immunofixation.

  • Participates in sponsor and investigator support including teleconferences and e-mail correspondence with customers.

  • Assist in developing, implementing and maintaining written SOPs for interpretation and transmission of SPEP, SIFE UPEP and SIFE data.

  • Provides triage responsibilities for incoming Medical/Technical requests. Addresses issues themselves relating to Specimen Identification, Deaccessioning requests, Permanent Deattach requests, and general laboratory issues that do not require Pathologist input. Ensure the request is clear and complete. Works with the requestors when additional information in needed. Assigns requests to appropriate staff members in Medical Affairs including the pathologists and Medical Director.

  • Supports the pathologist with data collection or investigation of issues.

  • Will provide temporary coverage for Departmental Administrative Specialist as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications:

Required:

Minimum Education: BS, Medical Technology or BS, Life Science.

Professional designations/certifications/licenses: Preferred

Experience:

Required:

Two years of laboratory experience

Experience in scientific area

Experienced with clinical trials, CCLS processes, Zavacor, Excel, Outlook and Word
