Manages the development, implementation and/or maintenance of one or more accounting systems. Responsible for review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis in accordance with GAAP, IFRS and DT policies and procedures. Reviews designs for operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. Deep understanding of the transactional flow through the various operational systems to monitor and ensure accurate financial results. Solid understanding of ERP system including sub-modules. Ensures integration of new products and services within the accounting records. Ensures the accurate compilation, analysis and reporting of accounting data. Participates in quarterly reviews, annual audits and SOX control monitoring/testing. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Responsible for presenting results for area of ownership to upper management, external auditors and business partners.
What you'll do in your role.
Manages the Accounting close process including:
- Review Accounting records, monthly Accounting close activities and variance analyses and communicate results to Accounting leadership as well as business partners.
- Accountable for identifying, communicating and resolving risks and issues impacting financial area of responsibility.
- Review internal controls and operating effectiveness to mitigate risk and ensure accurate financial results.
Team Leadership including:
- Responsible to develop Department goals and vision.
- Communication downwards of company information; the -why- behind activities, connection to company goal/vision.
- Effective delegation to staff (with clear expectations and accountability).
- Accountable to ensure business and accounting changes are understood, requirements are thoughtful, internal controls are considered and changes are well communicated through the team.

- Coach and develop business, system, process and Accounting acumen.
- Have awareness of each person's career goals; hold development discussions; and provide challenging assignments to promote development.
- Translate broader business initiatives into clear team objectives and concrete individual goals, aligning appropriately with other groups for efficient, coordinated action
Cross-functional project participation and implementation including:
- Participation in enterprise projects to ensure appropriate requirements are developed based on a solid understanding of the impacted systems and the transaction flow.
- Responsible for operationalizing the functionality delivered, including assessing control environment and potential audit requirements.
- Responsible to follow progress of project and escalate any gating issues to upper management for resolution.
The experience you'll bring.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
