Description
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Marine Pipefitters for projects located in and around Newport News, VA. This is a first shift opportunity with a pay rate of up to $29.50/hour based on experience & skill level plus $120/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Fit carbon steel, CRES
Copper nickel piping
Prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
Install pipe hangers
Prep & fitup backing rings
Clean, cut/break pipe with a grinder
Prep V bevels
Fabricate various details & assemblies from drawings
Bend pipe from template and in use of a hand bender
Fit welded sockets
Fit brazed joints with/without insert ring
Other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
3+ Years of Marine Commercial, Nuclear or Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitting Experience
Ability to Read & Interpret Ship Piping Drawings
Experience in the trade
